Topic: Complaint on deactivating older versions
I understand if it is not being supported anymore but some of us who have been here since the beginning still use the windows 7 version and think it is wrong to deactivate it.

Deactivate what ?

We certainly don't deactivate anything.

If anything, when we reach a critical milestone, newer versions cannot be used on older systems.
But we don't stop older versions from working. Ever.

So, please explain..
 
The 2020 version I use on my older laptop gives me “ The Virtual version is deprecated and will not work correctly please download the latest version “ and anything I load on any deck gives an error code now.
 
Which error code on the deck do you get?
 
Says -error on the deck but the entire music list is now the music symbol with a red X over it, it was all fine just a couple weeks ago.
 
This means that VirtualDJ cannot find your media files and therefore cannot load them.
It did not disable anything.

As for the message, it's just a warning. It states obvious facts. But it does not limit the software somehow.
