Does anybody know if the NS4FX can do pitch play with Virtual DJ? The documentation only refers to Serato, and specifies that pitch play is only supported in Serato Pro.
So does that mean the only version of Serato that supports it is Serato Pro, or does it mean that literally the only software that supports it is Serato Pro?

The only manual that matters is the VirtualDJ hardware manual, not the Serato manual.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a VirtualDJ manual for it.
I think the pitch play mode is implemented as KeyCue in VirtualDJ (See the Pads manual page) which is a software mode. If it isn't mapped to the NS7 already and the default pads aren't implemented in firmware/has special handling, you should be able to select it as a pad mode for the button press sequence that brings it up (the beauty/power of VirtualDJ).
