I'm trying to use loops in a particular way, and I'm wondering if somebody can tell me if it is possible to do in VDJ.
What I'd like to do is, say I have a 4 bar loop. I'd like to be able to press a button and have the loop bar jump ahead by a certain number of beats. While the loop bar jumps ahead, the play position does not jump ahead - it just continues playing until it catches up to the new loop point, and then it enters the loop in the new loop position.
The beat jump button *almost* does what I am wanting to. It moves the loop bar ahead, but it also causes the play position to instantly jump ahead. Is there a way to do it without causing the play position to jump ahead?

check out loop_move
for example:
will move the current loop forward 16 beats without moving the play position.
or to move the loop its length's.. forward, each press:
and one could create your own padpage of preferred, loop moves for quick access,
(if this type of padpage does not already exist)
for example:
loop_move +16
will move the current loop forward 16 beats without moving the play position.
or to move the loop its length's.. forward, each press:
loop_move +100%
and one could create your own padpage of preferred, loop moves for quick access,
(if this type of padpage does not already exist)

Wow. Once again exactly what I was looking for and could not find.
Thanks for the help.
VDJ is the best. I love so much how you can customize it however you want. Whenever I think it's not possible to do something in VDJ, I find out that you can.
