So I noticed that they have the Smart Fader now active in the official mapping (as long as you add it to the User Box) and I think that's great, but are you guys planning to add anything to the Smart CFX or button? maybe to mimic the way it works in Rekordbox?
thanks!
thanks!

Hi mate, what do you mean by 'add it to the user box'? I thought it was working already when I bought the license, I didn't realise I had to do anything.

he means a custom button, if you have the flx the button on the hardware is enough. If you don't have the HW button you can still call the, I suppose it's a crossfader fx, thing.

That is also already added
Both a regular function and a SHIFT function
From the manual:

Sorry to be a pest, another quick question, I thought the idea of the 'smart fader' was that the BPM would adjust to the speed of the track coming on slowly when fading if there is a big difference, so it is easier to switch genres, low BPM to high and vice versa?
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but that doesn't seem to happen.
Also my master volume control on the FLX4 doesn't do anything on VDJ, which seems strange.

What kind of "big" BPM difference are you trying ? An example ?
About Master Volume..
The volume is controlled by Hardware, meaning that you should see the Master Vol knob on the skin moving when you move from the controller, but it's acting as a "fake" one.
If your speakers are not connected to the FLX4, you will need to remove the fake_ action from the ONINIT key of FLX4 mapping, so from .. fake_hp on & fake_master on it should become ... fake_hp on
It is advised to keep the original mapping of the ONINIT key when u have speakers connected to the FLX4.

Thanks for the reply, yes maybe that’s the issue with the volume dial, I’ve been using a Bluetooth speaker through my laptop rather than connected to the controller.
So on the videos I watched before buying the FLX4 they showed music being changed from one genre to another, so say a track at 128bpm was playing and you wanted to slow it down to say an 80bpm track when the smart fader was on when you crossfade the 128bpm track would slow down as you moved the fader and when it reached the other ‘side’ the music is playing at the BPM of the slower track as the faster track disappears. This was obviously on Rekordbox, so maybe it’s just a compatibility thing.
Hope that makes sense :-)

But works as expected with small BPM difference, right ?
For such big BPM difference as per your example, there was indeed an issue. It's fixed for next release.

Yes it's all good when the bpms are close(ish). Aw that's great news about the update, thanks.

Looks as though the issue with the smart fader has been sorted in the new update, works great, top work, thanks👍

How is smart color fx supposed to work in virtual dj? What is the logic of work. In ddj flx4 it's like 2 effects at the same time, like filter and echo. What about virtual dj? Can I see a video of the work somewhere? And another question, smart fader does not work, just like in ddj flx4. In rekordbox it works on both crossfader and fader, but in virtual dj it only works on crossfader? Will full functionality be implemented?

You can see exactly what it does in the VDJ FLX4 manual:
The right column is the shift+ function

That sounds more like a rekordbox bug TBH, since it doesn't really make sense to smart fade into nothing if the other deck isn't turned up (maybe RB has no way to distinguish the two? Just a guess)
So IMO the crossfader is the place smart fader should work

For some reason the Smart Cfx only affects my right deck on my FLX4. Any suggestions?
