i had 2 issues i found
1.
i had a wedding on the past weekend and got in trouble and lost half my pay i played wrong song.. but actually i didnt play the wrong song.. after debugging at home yesterday.. the song was correct.. but song loaded in like -8 key..
i truly didnt notice i had the wrong song as i was doing multiple things at the same time so i didnt clue in the song was in the wrong key..
i had noticed throughout the night i played shania twain song and she was in a mans voice.. i noticed this like 4 times after this first dance screw up...
i tried google first to see if it was a bug or a glitch checked the settings
but they were either disabled and my pitchs were set at 0..

and the second issue i was finding was loading songs was freezing i hadnt seen that in several years i load a track and the songs werent loading instantly like the drive was going to sleep.. so took like 10 seconds before the song populated.. but the other deck the song was still playing... and no File Date is turned off in the display...
i had updated Windows 11 updates the Friday.. and I had downloaded the latest Version Virtual DJ told me to update to... maybe i shouldnt have updated..
i was running 9964 version...
my deck is a MC7000
is it a glitch a windows thing controller issue memory issue etc
when i tested things at home i rehooked the hard drive controller and laptop and loaded the same song it loaded fine.. but i didnt load other songs prior like i was doing prior...
does virtual dj log the KEY that the song was playing in.. does it have error logs to see if there was a glitch..
i read it could be midi corruption from Google A.I
as you will never know if your playing in the wrong key.. i dont even have it set to auto change key.. so is there anything i can do..
i thinking any future weddings do not play important songs through virtual dj use like Media Player or VLC player.. then switch to virtual dj to play the party music but like mother daughter first dance ceremony use vlc or media player
has anyone come across these issues? and if so how did you deal with it... as for me ive never come across this so i didnt even know i had a problem till i was getting blasted... and ruined the entire evening where you just wanna pack up and leave.. but being professional i pushed through... but i just wanted to know if there is anything to check or what has anyone found was issues..
as if its a new deck.. the pioneer fx 10 deck is 2500 dollars and right now out of my price range to equal the same features of the mc7000
and are there tequnics you guys do to verify things?? i was thinking if i did through virtual dj have the Key show up in the list of songs display in the center.. and then when you load verify it matchs whats at the top.. was idea i thought maybe i gotta do too now
and if it does happen again and i notice it.. what are tricks to fix it if its fixable? as you cant reboot the computer or mixer during a set etc
as this is the first time i ever experience this in the 20 years of using virtual dj and prior was bpmstudio

Do you have autokey on? Never had this issue. Can you record a video?

i dont know what auto key on is.. never used it i not at the computer but so far i cant reproduce it it was happening at the gig on random songs.. so you could load say 10 songs and then the next 1 it messed up the key thats how i noticed shania twain was a man so ive never seen this over all the years.. and i was thinking maybe a glitch or bug in the os...
as when i was at home and loaded the same file.. it loaded ok.. so i figured maybe with the newer versions of virtual dj maybe it cant handle older mixers.. like how vdj 7 couldnt handle mc7000 had to goto 8..
i did record the wedding first dance and compared it to the audio and thats how i noticed how it was way off.. but so far it didnt do it again least not at home and i only tested a few songs

autoKey is a setting in virtualdj option. It is limited to +1 or -1 semitone though, so wouldn't explain something like -8.
When a button is mapped to match_key this does allow for bigger key changes, but I don't think this is mapped by default, and would require manually pressing that button

ah ok ya i never set any settings this only happened from updating to the latest version i had updated the night before... and with google it talked possible midi corruption etc.. i did play some audio it hasnt come back but i only played like 3 songs... i plan to re load auto mixing and let it play all day..
and i cant seem to figure out also where a file takes 10 seconds to load last time i saw that was when version 8 first orginally came out and i was having issues years back but now that came back as i dont use the file date in hte database view since i know virtual dj goes slow
so i not sure if the 2 glitchs i had are linked if its possible glitch from the files loading slow.. as say 1 file loads fast and a 2nd file loads slow 10 seconds before it loads into the deck instantly.. i not sure if its a perfect storm where they both caused the problems...
i also wonder if i should switch to MAC ive used .. ive used windows for virtual dj for 20 years and i have had so many issues with usb loosing connection not recongizing... i wonder if its also just a whole thing with windows 11.. and if i switched to a mac in the end if it solves all problems running virtual dj..
so the only evidence i have is the Wedding Video i recorded how its key is running like -8 when i had to try to match it as the video of the laptop is a bit blury the speed is running at 74 the orginal file is 73.3 i noticed but that wouldnt done anything as i notice sometimes even though they are off by 1 or less then 1bpm virtual dj will show 0 percentage and my mixer will still be in the center... so i just ignore them as small hick ups
but ok so really it should have never loaded that...i can make a link and upload the video and the audio file to my one drive account so u can see what i talking about ill do that later just so i can show.. but ya when i tested other day and today load up a few songs worked fine..
so all ican think is a perfect storm and since i dont see option of virtual dj recording an error.. or when a file finishes or loads records the Key it loaded in i cant 100% trouble shoot it..
