Topic: Traktor Kontrol Z1 MK2 problem
Hi, my Traktor Z1 MK2 controller works fine for the first few minutes of a session, but then it only sends audio and all MIDI functions stop working. I already contacted Virtual DJ support, but they didn't resolve anything. They were more concerned about the fact that I had the session running on three of my computers. I explained this in a message after they replied, but I haven't received a response since. I hope someone can help me because it worked perfectly before these latest updates. Thanks in advance!


hola, el controlador traktor z1 mk2 funciona bien los primeros minutos de la sesión pero después solo manda audio y todo lo relacionado a midi deja de funcionar, ya me contacte con el soporte de virtual dj pero no me resolvieron nada, se preocuparon mas por el tema de que tenia la sesión iniciada en 3 computadoras que son mias lo explique en un mensaje después de que me contestaron y de ahi no he recibido respuesta, espero y alguien me pudiera ayudar por que anteriormente si me funcionaba muy bien hasta estas ultimas actualizaciones, de antemano muchas gracias!!

Yesterday I had the same problem, and I still have problem with connection z1 mk2 and x1 mk3. When I connection the both of this controllers, screens dont work
 
My screens are also malfunctioning, but it's still manageable. The problem arises when the MIDI on the Z1 MK2 fails. I'm testing it, and the issue only occurs when I connect the X1 MK3. If I'm only using the Z1, there's no problem. It must be a conflict between the two controllers, but only the developers can resolve it. Let's wait for a response from Virtual DJ.
 
Can you check agan with latest EA version (9275)

Just FYI: Both devices are HID, not MIDI, and the screens are only one part of the equation.
So, the question is if the devices work normally (regardless of screens) without any disconnections with latest EA version or not.
 
Yes, both devices work normally when paired together, only the screen doesn’t work properly. The screen glitches only occur when it’s paired with two Traktor devices that have screens.

When it’s plugged in alone or paired with other gear, it works fine with no issues with the screen.
I’ve been checking this since the last few updates, and it’s still not fixed yet.

I also have a friend who uses the same setup, and it’s the same for him as well.
 
Okay, they're not MIDI controllers, but you understand the problem, right? The fault only occurs when I connect both the X1 MK3 and Z1 MK2 controllers. The screens have always been faulty since I bought them, which doesn't bother me while I'm working, but since I can't control the software, it's impossible to do the job.

I installed b9278 and it still does not vork, but the lead indication started to work more corrected than early
 
I already performed tests with the b9275 update and the screen failure and the software control failure remain the same.
 
Yup, I've also posted few times in this forum highlighting Traktor controller's screen issues, my S5, S8, D2 with my brand new macbook m4 overheats, but when I use other gears its fine , and problem remains the same from so long...

Software control is different than screen control which is different than MAC overheating

As I said above, software control should work. Period. If not, please let us know what doesn't work and under which condition(s).

Screen control is a known issue we are looking at and it occurs only when using both X1MK3 with Z1MK2 on a MAC computer.

Finally MAC getting overheated when using some Traktor controllers is a completely different issue. Please start a new thread about it, or continue discussion on an old one where I think Babis (djdad) had asked for some tests / made some proposals.

It should.
There are not any known issues with controlling the software. If there are any, please report the exact behavior you are experiencing.
 
The problem persists. I'm working with a 2020 MacBook Pro M1 with 16GB of RAM. The controllers are connected as follows: the X1 MK3 is connected directly to the MacBook via USB-C, and the Z1 MK2 is connected to the X1 MK3 hub. Just to clarify, the X1 MK3 hub must be plugged into a power source. I've completely ruled out the controller as the problem because it works perfectly with Traktor DJ 4. I've run tests, such as connecting both controllers to the MacBook via USB-C, and after a few minutes of the session, the problem persists: it stops sending HID messages and only sends audio through the headphones and the master output.

OK, then it's clear Virtual DJ is having problems with Traktor gear "screen control" on Mac.

Screen glitches occur when two Traktor gears with screens are paired together.

You guys might want to fix that ASAP. Thank you
