Hail all:
I went looking for a Pan/Balance button per deck, but this is totally not there, it seems, is this correct?
If so, why is this not in the program?
It seems illogical not to have a balance/pan button per deck?
If not in the program:
How can I get this?
I downloaded the Balance button, alas, it controls ALL decks simultaneously, not deck per deck.
Thank you:
Ben

You can make a custom button on the slider and select Audio _ Volumes > Master _ Balance.
It works perfectly, but It does not display a number when you hover over the slider to let you know you are back to 50/50. I made another Audio _ Volume > Master > Balance on a single press button, and it will light up when it is in the left zone, and go blank when it is in the Right Zone, which lets me get it back to 50/50.
I'm not sure how you do single deck. Hopefully someone that knows will reply. I'm sure it can do it.

I'm curious on why would you need a "balance" (or PAN, short of Panoramic) control per deck on a DJ software..
It's not that you're going to alter the staging of a band, or their drums kit..
So, what the purpose to have this on a DJ software ?
I don't think I have seen ANY hardware DJ mixer have it either, only a "master balance"..
Perhaps if you can provide a very good reason, the development team would consider to add it..

@Maxx:
Thank you, sir.
@PhantomDeejay:
Because I want to mix 2 versions of a song into one, but where each is in a different channel. :)
To create a form of "stereo effect", where each version (mono re-recorded) is on a different speaker.
This to point out the differences in real-time, an experiment.
Hope this helps explaining it?

PS:
It could be added as optional, to not "clutter" the program for people not using it.
People like options, I think. ;)

That sounds more like a task for either an audio editing program or a DAW. Balance on channels of a DJ mixer is very rare. Easy to do with audio editing software or a DAW.

@GroovingDJ
Apologies, I am not that well-known with other music altering tools:
What is a DAW, please??

DAW is an acronym
It stands for Digital Audio Workstation
DAW is the kind of software that let's you edit and create / produce tracks.
Two well known DAW titles are Ableton Live and FL Studio
Two well known audio editors are Adobe Audition and Audacity

Also, if you're on Windows, you can download the BalanceFader effect from extensions, and activate it on each deck separately

@PhantomDeeJay:
Ah, marvelous, thank you, good sir. :)
@Adion:
Oh?
And how do I do this, please?
I know how to get the software, but how do I set up VDJ to do so?
Thank you in advance.
