Hi,
I have the latest version of VDJ updated on Saturday in preparation for a gig that night. Updated my windows 11 PC to the latest version.
I have had issues in the past where the software would freeze and i have no control but the music is playing through the controller (Hercules Inpulse T7) and I can still use the controller to mix in the next track all OK. I have seen other instances of this freezing momentarily and coming back but in my case it stays frozen and I have to use Task Manager to end task and then re-load the software. When the software reloads it always opens in the root C: drive and doesn't open in previously used music folders to quickly pick up where I left off. I assumed this is a PC issue, maybe my RAM dying off or overloading the processor, however, I have full and instant control of the OS in the background and it's not lagging at all. I assumed then that it was a bug in the previous version which is why I updated to the current version, but it happened again on the Saturday just gone. It happened about 2 hours into the 6 hour set and then again 10 minutes later. Got my laptop backup ready to swap in if it happened again, but then it didn't happen again the rest of the night.
Can anyone please advise why this keeps happening and if there is any ways to prevent it happening again?
Many Thanks

Yes, for sure something is going wrong with the 2026 update. I'm looking for a resolve myself. This is looking good for Virtual DJ at this point. I may need to go back to Serato my next gig.

The post is from last year, before that update became an issue.

Thank you for the correction on the dates (I don't really run Windows fulltime/pay enough attention to update release dates).
It may or may not be related to the other person's post which was more recent (no harm in leaving the info here).
