With a Pro Infinity license, (or Pro subscription) you just need to log into VDJ once, with the same credentials you use in this forum.
with the Options set as:
stayLoggedIn ....... Yes
dontLogin .............. No

open the Settings window and go to the Licenses tab, make sure you are logged with the same account that has your PRO license, and it will show PRO on the page.
If you still have problem connecting with your PRO license, contact support.

What about my Home Plus License I purchased again earlier this year? Does i have audio sample too?
Have they removed the Home Plus license? I have bought that license twice since i have had 2 different controllers. this update doesn't show the license anymore? I only play on my PC. So far I've invested $198 into this software since I've used it. If i can be credited that amount and be allowed to pay the difference for the Pro version I will. Love the software hands down. Just don't feel it's fair to pay an additional $299 for a pro after I've invested so much so far. Please help and clarify.

Your current Home Plus licenses will still work, and will not have the audio sample.

Just want to briefly say how impressive it is that Stephane and team are actively listening to feedback and have made further changes.
Honestly, despite it being the logical thing to do, not many companies are connected to their user base like this.

Yes, agreed. Listening to customer feedback and reacting especially as quickly as this is very rare these days.

I've read several of the forum messages on this new name drop for the free/home version. Here's the issue that I have with it:
1. It is not the fact that VirtualDJ decided to implement a watermark to enforce their EULA and require those who need to use the software for professional use to do so.
2. It is/was in the delivery. Normally, and up to this point, any updates have been seamless and things work perfectly. That is the hallmark of a quality software.
3. Put simply, I did an update and then went on live on the radio later that morning, complete unaware of the name drop. Embarrassing for me was the three times it blurted out, and I was left scrambling in a WTF moment thinking that I'd inadvertently pressed a wrong button or corrupted something unintentionally.
4. After my show and researching what was going on did I only learn of the "change" in the new releases.
5. No warnings for me. Completely surprised and caught off guard.
Now, if I may, I'd like to offer up an idea to handle this more gracefully:
1. After the upgrade to a "watermarked" version, a splash dialog box saying something to the matter of: "NOTICE - You are running a Home version of this software. A random "VirtualDJ" audio clip will be played during your mixing session. This will begin on the next session when you restart the software" This warning dialog requires the user to acknowledge what is happening and gives them one chance to register before inadvertently playing the watermark.
2. This simple dialog would save those from an embarrassment while playing live, and give them a last chance to register the software.
"It's not about the rationale, it is really about the delivery/notification"

Agreed that this could have been preceeded with a warning on update (probably a warning that displays on start everytime with an option to not show it again (on the user to remember at that point).

I have three different controllers that I use at home and each have a Home Plus License since prior to buying additional two licenses, I had asked SUPPORT to credit me an existing Home Plus License towards a PRO use for $299. They denied my request and told me buy different licenses for each controller. I now have to buy a PRO use to remove Virtual DJ name drop. THIS IS BS for us Home Plus License holders. Home Plus License totalled $297 and now to remove Virtual DJ name drop additional $299? TOTAL BS !!!

Not sure about the Support handling claims, but why would you buy 3 different Home Plus Licences, when its known that the Pro Infinity cost is roughly = to that with no restriction on controllers?

Because I was using Serato and DJ Pro with my other controllers. I wanted to switch to the Pro after purchasing one Home License but was not credited towards the purchase. I was trying out Virtual DJ and worked out for me .

It shouldn't. Do you have the latest update installed?

man all these people complaining about the drop and how much the software is, yet they have no problem dropping the same amount of money on a controller!?!?!
Make it make sense??

What amuses me is the claims that the "VirtualDJ" voice is somehow ruining things.
It's the name of the software. No different to a DJ saying it live on the mic, or saying their name.

I have used this software for pretty much a decade at this point because I like listening to my songs slightly altered with the effects (like the pitch effect). I am a home user, I do not have any interest in professionally DJing (or DJing in general), and I sure as hell am not going to be paying for a license because I am not in the target group of a license, and I see that even if I did want to buy it, the cheapest tier still does not remove the watermark. I have just been using this as a media player with more effects and nothing else. I will be downgrading to an older version because I want to listen to my music for comfort, not take a chance at being blasted with a "VirtualDJ" audio tag out of nowhere. Either remove the home license and make it a free trial, or don't pull this crap. Serious deal breaker for me.

Well the first thing that stands out is that you don't need to be using DJ software.
Even if it were only possible to play music that way using DJ software, there are other free options with no compromises .
If you wanted to stick with VDJ for whatever reason, the occasional playback of the product name shouldn't be an issue. It's certainly not "blasting" - the volume has been lowered recently.
