Topic: Denon P4 FX1&2 Mapping both Sides
Hey there, i want to use both fx sides of the controller denon prime 4 with the buttons over the gain.
FX 1 & FX2 so i can use on each deck 6 FX at the same time or switch between the fx sections.

Anybody know how can i map it?

Not easy at all. Will require mapping of many buttons , leds and OLED Display keys.
You can query device_side 'left' ? ActionForLeftSide : ActionForRightSide and then the effect_arm_ actions .

But before that, why do you need 6 FXs at the same time ? I mean even 2 FXs at the same time enabled may not sound well and if you want quick access to some of your favorites , why dont you save/load Effect Banks ?
 
I dont want to use all fx at the same time,
but i can hard load 6 fx and start they quickly.
and i have all fx usefull on both or all 4 decks.

So i can route fx 1 & fx 2 to deck 1 & 2
But also i can use only fx 1 on deck 2 and fx 2 on deck 1.
 
Since you dont usually apply more than 1 Fx on a Deck, it is still wiser to use effect Bank Save/Load.
These actions are available in default Mapping .. Nr.42 https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/denon/prime4/layout/effects.html

Here is the workflow...
- Create FX Bank 1 e.g. by having Echo, Cut and Flanger to Slots 1 to 3 on Deck 1. Use SHIFT+FX1 Assign button (Nr.42) to save the selected Fxs (Slots 1 to 3) to BANK 1
- Create FX Bank 2 e.g. by having BeatGrid, Distortion, Reverb to Slots 1 to 3 on Deck 1. Use SHIFT+FX2 Assign button (Nr.42) to save the selected Fxs (Slots 1 to 3) to BANK 2
^ these are the preparation steps.
- Then use the FX1/FX2 buttons to load the desired FX Bank to any of the Decks.
It's just one button away (to select a FX Bank.

Again, what u ask is possible, but it's just long and complex script to achieve this.
 
I have a skin that does 'fx units' work flow but it needs a lot of hardware remapping as well as the skin.

I give it a try, but it sound not like this function i want to use.

With my idea i have 6 FX ready to use with each site multi Fx mod.

Now i can use one ore more off the fx on all decks.
 
you mean something like this


your buttons under the hw fx dials, arm the fx, then the fx1 fx2 buttons trigger the armed fx's.
