I'm not sure if its Windows 11 updates, or the most recent VDJ Update...but my controllers no longer work with VDJ.
SX3 - works great for a few hours....then starts getting pops...then just locks up putting a sound close to that of a feedback loop full blast on the speakers....once it gets like this, I have to shut the computer off for at least a half and hour before it recovers.
Dennon gear - only a few of the fx sound decent...rest are garbage... Also, if you try to scratch, use fx, or do loops (anything active other than just playing), suddenly you will start getting allot of hiss and static that makes the music sound terrible... only reseting the usb link or messing with the buffer size will temporarily reset it...but it comes back the second you try to do anythign more than hit the play buttons.
I'm using a one year old ASUS GU604VI-M16.I94070
System Model: ROG Zehyrus M16 GU604VI_GU604VI
13th Gen Intel Corei9-13900H 2600MHz, 14 Cores, 20 Logicl Proces
Installed Physical Ram : 16GB
Total Virtal Memory: 16 GB
Page File Space 1.0 GB
NVIDAIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU
Intel Serial IO UART Host Controller
Intel InnovationPlatform Framework Processor
NTFS 926.35GB Fixed Disk with over 503 GB free
Model: NVMe PC SN560 SDDPNQE-1T00-1002
Intel RST VMD Controller A77F
I've changed the priority in the task manager to HIGH, and still no fix.
Any suggestions??? (Other than buy a Mac)

Is there a way to go back to a previous version of VDJ?

Your laptop is more than powerful enough to handle anything VirtualDJ can throw to it (I know because I have an older model)
Still, the behavior you describe is typical to a laptop that struggles to keep up, OR overheats.
My Zephyrus gets hot, but if I make sure that I don't block any of it's ventilation holes, it stays in acceptable levels.
So:
Can you check that your laptop is not overheating and that nothing blocks it's ventilation path ?
Just to make sure..

I don't think overheating is an issue as I have it on a NoHo style laptop stand which gives the computer lots of air... I'll have to set a system up and run it all day to try and get it to go into the failed state and then check the temp.

So I've did some deeper digging. Set VDJ to high priority.... which makes the cooling fans to come on allot more often... was able to run VDJ all day on autoplay with no issues.... but if I start mixing, I get about 30 mins before audio goes to crap ( this is on my SX3 which used to run seemlessly on VDJ and original versions of Windows 11 about a year ago.
Looking at the resource monitor panel... the temp and main processor is running fine. Main processor is about half use. The thing that is getting swamped is the graphics processor. When the audio goes bad the graphics processor is showing full use.....when the use goes back down and runs at half the sound quality comes back.
So any sugguestions on how to maybe reduce whatever is killing the video procesor? (I was not running stems at the time)

This only gives the ability to download versions of the current VDJ.
I want to download VDJ 7 - which actually still worked without all these issues.

You can download it from your account page - but it won't support your new controllers.

Your issue, is specific to your computer/system.
You have a really powerful machine that shouldn't have issues like this. Even if DPC latency is bad, the behavior of the system should be nowhere near as bad as you describe.
We have given you a few hints as it's your system and we can't remotely troubleshoot it. You will have to do the "dirty" job and troubleshoot it yourself, or take it to a shop and pay to have it troubleshooted for you.
Going back to a previous version of VirtualDJ could possibly help only in cases where the "issues" are small, and maybe an update forced your system to go just over the edge.
However you don't describe such behavior, nor anyone else has come to these forums to report symptoms as severe as yours.
So, going back a version or two is something that you can try during your troubleshooting process, but not something that most likely will fix your issue.
Going back to VirtualDJ 7, a piece of software that has not received any update for more than a decade, will definitely not help you.
Nor to mention, as Groovin said, that VirtualDJ 7 does not support ANY of your controllers, NOR you can make definitions to support them by your own.
In fact, if my memory serves me correctly, the last controller that was added on VirtualDJ 7 was Pioneer DDJ-SZ.
If you want us to be able to help you, you need to do your homework.
Perform tests, and report the results here.
Try a few older builds.
Try to change USB ports and USB cables.
Try a different power profile on Asus Armoury Crate app
Check for any pending updates on Armoury Crate, and if any, perform them
Install a temperature monitor and watch how the temperature of your laptop behaves. Perhaps there's an issue with a fan (new gear can sometimes fail, that's why consumer guarantee is for)
Use Latmon to check DPC latency. Check which processes behaves badly. Read online about it to see if you can do anything about it.
As you can see, there are a lot of things you can go through in order to troubleshoot your system.
We cannot do it for you remotely, nor we can guess what's wrong.
