Trying to get a new Macbook Air M4 running Sequoia to work. Videos play fine to an external TV through VDJ alone. When I connect my Roland 707M and play a video it will freeze on the external TV but still play inside VDJ. I have to have this running ASAP and I've tried every setting I can think of. Does anyone have any ideas? What would be the difference running through 707M? No video runs through that unit. Audio settings shouldn't effect video output, should they?

In theory audio settings should not affect video output, try running audio through your internal speakers instead of the controller. In other words just use the controller as a mixing interface, but still run everything through the laptop. See if that works? Another posssibility....have you recently updated VDJ? You might have to rollback to the last version that worked for you. You did mention its a new mac, have you ran video succesfully with this new Mac and controller before?

Previously I was using a 2013 MacBook Pro with no issues. All worked fine. I wanted to start using stems so I upgraded.
With the new machine I was using the latest build, and tried all the builds available on the site. Updated 707m firmware. Updates OS to the latest.
Last thing I tried was a M4 Pro MacbookPro instead of the MacBook Air. It froze less but still froze.
I didn’t try using internal speakers or headphones simply because I can’t run a gig that way.
I always thought audio went through the controller and it should have no impact on the video but it sure is causing problems.

What build of VDJ? On what computer? Mac? PC? What operating system? What format are the videos? What resolution are the videos?
