Topic: DDJ-FLX10 Jog Wheel Responding Intermittenly
Brand New Unit. Just took it out to the box today and used it for a gig. The Jog Wheel works great for 30 minutes and then won't work to forward or reverse a song for 10 minutes, then kicks back in?? I just sent another unit back for the same issue. Any ideas of what maybe causing this. I have 5 DDJ-1000's and NEVER had 1 issue!! Maybe a Settings Issue in Virtual?

Are you using the current latest version of VDJ? There was a fix for jogwheel issues a couple of months ago.

Also are you using a clean install or copying over your previous database, settings etc?

Sorry. Didn't know. Still not working properly. I use am using a Brand New Apple M2 Max MacBook Pro (macOS Sonoma). Using a previous database and settings from original Apple M1 Max MacBook Pro. The Vinyl Mode worked great for 30 minutes last night and then didn't respond at all for the next 3 1/2 hours. I turned system off and back on at the end of them evening and everything worked great again. It seems at the 30-40 minute mark it just stops working. Thank you for any help. Kinda freaking out. Have another Wedding today.
 
Basic questions:
1) Is Vinyl mode enabled ?
2) What happens if you turn vinyl mode on/off (or off and back on)
3) Do you use SHIFT+JOG often ?
4) If yes, then after the issue occur try to hold down SHIFT, move the JOG, RELEASE THE JOG FIRST, and then release SHIFT. Does this solve your issue ?
 
OK!!! So here is what I found at the gig tonight.
I have 4 Decks Open. I use a Video DJ Booth. 2 for Audio and 2 for Video.

Deck 1 is for Audio.
Deck 3 is for Video.

Deck 2 is for Audio.
Deck 4 is for Video.

I use Video Graphics on the Front of My DJ Booth for the Entire Evening. I put both DECK 3 and DECK 4 in a LOOPS.

When the Audio is playing on Deck 1. Video is playing on Deck 3 or Deck 4 and going to the Main Video Output and on my TV Screen.

The Issue is this.

When the Tab titled LEFT is in the ON Position (DECK 3) to show the Video on the Main Video Output and my TV SCREEN. I am not able to use VINYL Mode on (DECK 1) unless I Press the Tab titled LEFT to the ON Position on (DECK 1) VINYL Mode then works, but it SWITCHES the Screen to BLACK because it is not a VIDEO. This does the Same Exact Thing for (DECK 2) and (DECK 4).

Is there a way to FIX this issue or display Video with Virtual, so it doesn't interfere with VINYL Mode?

If you're only playing video loops, do it on the sampler.
 
Can you please explain in full detail your workflow ?
Which skin do you use ?
Any custom buttons ?
Which buttons do you press / use ?
Why you use decks 3 and 4 for video ? (All decks can do video)

Before we are able to provide a "solution" we need to understand what's unique about your case.

While personally I think I know why all this mess happens, I also know it shouldn't happen unless there's something that's escaping my mind at the moment.
For instance, most controllers don't really like it when you switch left and/or right deck from software. They want/need this operation to be done by the controller itself.
However, we usually have all means in place to prevent unwanted behavior in such case.
That's why we need you to provide as much detail as possible.
 
Going to Play the Video Loops on the Sampler. Almost positive that this will solve the issue for me. Thank you everyone for all of your help. Truly appreciate your help!!!!
