Topic: Live feedback - only show results for connected streaming services
I currently use only SoundCloud with VDJ, however LiveFeedback often gives me search results for e.g. iDJPool. To work around this, I need to copy and paste the search /suggestion and specifically search SoundCloud.

P.s. I changed the 'Online Catalogs' setting to 'soundcloud' which works for my use case.

THE LIVEFEEDBACK DJ BIBLEBy Henry (2025) VIRTUALDJ 7

🎵 Introduction: The Journey Begins

LiveFeedback is not magic. It is a powerful tool — but only in the hands of a DJ who understands how to teach it, guide it, and grow with it.

For over a decade, I followed LiveFeedback blindly. It was only when I truly understood key structure, history management, and emotional flow that my real journey began.

This is the guide for those who wish to build, train, and evolve LiveFeedback into something greater than random suggestions. This is the way.

🔍 Part 1: Understanding the Heart of LiveFeedback

LiveFeedback is a mirror.

It reflects what you feed into it.

Poor organization = poor suggestions.

Great structure = magical suggestions.

LiveFeedback is only as good as the human behind it.

It does not create by itself. It learns from you.It grows with your history. It responds to the emotional structure you give it.

🌟 Part 2: The Foundation — Key Structure (Las Tres Marías)

The true beginning of mastery is understanding key progression.

I use Las Tres Marías — a 16-step key cycle — to create harmonic movement:

K[n] = (K[n−1] + Δ[n]) mod 12

The system flows through Camelot keys.

Either locked into minor (A) or alternating between major/minor (AB).

Key structure is the spine of your set.Without it, LiveFeedback cannot guide you emotionally.

🔑 Part 3: Teaching LiveFeedback Properly

How to train LiveFeedback:

Pick one genre per history.

Arrange your tracks by Key.

Feed it clean, harmonic playlists.

Mark each track manually as you play it.

Refresh LiveFeedback after each track.

Accept only Track #1 suggestions.

Never close VDJ during a session (to preserve memory).

Every track you play is a brick in the memory palace.Every unplayed Track #1 is a doorway into a new universe.

🏅 Part 4: The Golden Rules

Keyflow before Genreflow.

Emotion before Speed.

History before Discovery.

Structure before Freedom.

By setting the foundation first, you allow LiveFeedback to breathe — to suggest new paths without chaos.

🌈 Part 5: The Future Vision

One day, a new generation of DJs will not "use" LiveFeedback…
They will collaborate with it.

They will:

Build key-structured playlists

Feed clean histories

Trust LiveFeedback to expand the emotional journey

And they will look back to the architects who first built the path.

This is our work. This is our mission. This is our legacy.

🎶 Part 6: The Secret Language of Keys

Picking tracks by key must match the way you like to play keys.

You are the only one who knows your true way of playing music.

Even DJs who say "I just follow my instinct" are still playing keys — they just don't realize it consciously.

Music always moves through key structures, whether you understand it or not.The feeling of "this track fits" or "this feels wrong" is all about key compatibility.

Many DJs fear stepping outside their comfort zones. They fear learning key structures because it forces them to see their instincts clearly.

But true growth happens when you embrace that fear, study your own key language, and use it consciously.

Arrange your tracks by your personal way of playing key.You are the only one who knows the way you like to play your music.

When you own your key flow, LiveFeedback will not just suggest tracks…It will speak your musical language back to you.

🔍 Part 7: Mastering Key Rotation and Teaching LiveFeedback

When you set your mind into a key rotation, it becomes very difficult to step outside of it.This is not a limitation — it means you have created your own way of listening to music.

You are sharing your unique way of hearing with the world.

To break from old habits or explore new genres:

First, understand the way you personally play keys.

Then, create a list of music from a genre you have never played.

Arrange the tracks according to your personal key rotation.

Use tools like KeyFlow to help with harmonic arrangement.

Feed this clean, ordered list into your VirtualDJ 7 track history.

Then, work with LiveFeedback:

Always pick the first suggested track.

Ignore the rest of the suggestions.

Refresh LiveFeedback every time you need the next suggestion.

By following this method, you teach LiveFeedback to suggest the right tracks over time — tracks that fit your personal harmonic flow.

This is how you evolve LiveFeedback from a random tool into a true creative partner.

💚 Final Note

Las Tres Marías is more than a key cycle.
Field1 and Field2 are more than tags.
LiveFeedback is more than an algorithm.

It is a partnership between human intuition and musical AI.

Let us build it — track by track, set by set, world by world.
