Topic: Tag for comment
Hi I use mp3tag and have put information in the comment field but when i open the track in Virtual DJ the comments box is empty, i have to manually go into each track and push the tag into the field then write tag, does anyone know why this is mp3tag supports:

Mp3tag offers batch tag-editing of ID3v1, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, iTunes MP4, Vorbis Comments and APE Tags for multiple files at once.

Check that your settings allow writing to id3v1 and id3v2 per the screenshot below.

I have no issues with importing comment, genre etc directly from mp3tag.

Also check the getCommentFromTags setting in VDJ is yes.

More importantly, if you have modified your comments AFTER VirtualDJ has seen the file at least one time, you need to reload your tags.
VirtualDJ will read the tags ONLY the FIRST time it sees a new track, it will import the info in it's own database, and then use that information instead.

Is there anyway to force Virtual DJ to re-read the tags

No, you have to do it manually assuming you have changed the tag info outside VDJ.

Easy enough to do though by right clicking on the folder that contains the modified files.
