I have previously used the older Hercules DJ controller 'DJ Control Instinct' in combination with the DJ software 'Virtual DJ7'. The controller was connected to a free channel on an external mixer using an cinch cable. That worked without any problems.
Recently I would like to use the newer successor 'DJ Control Inpulse 200 MK2' on a completely newly installed laptop. The software is now 'Virtual DJ 2025' - all the necessary drivers are installed - a test using a monitor box connected at home via an cinch cable works without any problems.
The settings are:
Master output: DJ Control Inpulse 200 MK2 Asio (ASIO) - out 1 & 2
Headset: DJ Control Inpulse 200 MK2 Asio (ASIO) - out 3 & 4
But - as soon a I do no more use the active monitor box - but connect the cinch cable to the free channel of the mixer, no more sound comes out of its connected speakers.
I did then use the older controller with the older laptop and Virtual DJ 7 - used exactly the same cinch connection - and all worked well out of the external speakers.
What can cause this? Do I need to use '3 - DJ Control Inpulse 200 MK2 (WASAPI) as output instead?

Done - looks as if I had to change some settings at the main sound rotary control...whyever...it finally worked well... ;-)
