Topic: DPC latency in multicore pc’s
Even if I dont have issue with pops and cracks in audio I can sometimes see DPC latency peak.
Today in multicore pc world why isnt it possible to prioritize certain tasks and interrupts and dedicate a core to handle this task as high prio.
How can a 5Ghz cpu with 10 threads have a problem to serve the soundcard with 44.1kHz audio?
I would like to know more why we need to suffer from these problems still.

Not sure I understand, if you don't have pops and cracks, what are you suffering from exactly?
 
this is more of a general question what’s behind the secrets of interrupt latencies.
Many people have issues, for me, for now its good, but you never know after an windows update or driver updates.

What I dont understand is why this can be a problem with all the power we have today in modern pc’s.
