Topic: Fix CDJ Export Beatgrid Information plsss

i know this has been asked before but...
can we please get a fix for when exporting playlists to a usb for use with CDJs?

everytime i export a playlist from vdj i now have to go and check & adjust every single beatgrid on rekordbox to fix what the vdj export messed up.

this is super annoying.

thank you.

This is most likely an occurence of this:

https://github.com/digital-dj-tools/dj-data-converter/issues/3

Most immediate actions to work against it:

  • If you must use mp3's, use DJCU or Lexicon to convert to Rekordbox and export from Rekordbox
  • If you are flexible on format, use WAV or AIFF files

If you aren't using mp3's and this happens then that's even more obscure/I've never heard of that case.

@Devs - Apparently Rekordbuddy got it right most if not all of the time in it's final state(it's now Open Source, GPL 3.0)

I am indeed using mp3s.

But if DJCU or Lexicon can do the job, then why can't VDJ do it?!?
I'd really prefer a solution where i don't need to purchase another software.
At this point I might as well fully switch to using rekordbox for preparing sets which really is a shame because I think their software sucks compared to VDJ if it wasn't for the beatgrid issue...

So I guess at this point I'll just have to spend an extra hour every time when preparing sets fixing those beatgrids -.-!!!

I agree that Atomix should look into fixing the problem and we shouldn't need outside tools, but I'm also saying that 1) the problem isn't really a VDJ problem but an encoder problem 2) the problem has a sort of hacky solution in all known cases where it's, claimed to be solved 3) it doesn't affect the other file formats mentioned, so in the meantime (if it isn't too much trouble), try aiming to use those formats for CDJ usage if you need a solution immediately.
