Topic: Tidal: Playlist folders?
With the Tidal app or Web player you can organize your playlists into folders.

These folders do not show up in the VDJ browser. All Tidal playlists are shown on the same level in the VDJ browser.

Can Tidal playlist folders be supported?

This is not available in the Tidal API yet. As soon as they add it we can support it as well, but they did not have a timeline for this yet.
 
I see -- makes sense.

I did email Tidal about this a while back (March 12th).

The reply ended with the statement "We'll be sure your request gets in the right hands".

Unfortunately it didn't say when that would happen, or whether the hands would do anything about it. :-)
 
Any update on this one? I recently connected Tidal and it doesn't appear to have changed.
 
Per Tidal tech support VDJ would need to change the folder/playlist mirroring from Tidal to VDJ for this to change. (See attachment)
 
Hmmm, I wonder whether Steven S really knows his stuff, or whether he's giving you a generic answer.

Does anyone know if Tidal folders appear in any other DJ software (i.e. it's in their API now)?
 
Just checked again, and the API still only returns the playlists as a flat list, and does not provide information about the sub-folders, so unfortunately still nothing we can do from our end.
