For years I have been using VDJ 7 and 8 to mix video only on one channel with audio only from the other, using the Video mode to get the 2 separate crossfaders, and unchecking both the "Linked" and the "Auto" checkboxes so I could put the Video crossfader all the way to the right and the audio all the way to the left (or vice versa). I usually do that to play "extended" versions of the original music video while playing some form of extended mix or dance mix of the same tune...
Now for some reason, even with these 2 check boxes (Linked and Auto) UNCHECKED, the video crossfader ACTS as if Auto was still checked: It always moves to the same side as the audio when I move the audio crossfader past a certain point. The video transition effect indicator lights up while the video crossfader is moving.
Is there a setting that I need to watch for? I have a pretty extensive ONINIT script to preconfigure video master effects (slideshow, colorize, spectral), upon launch so could it be linked to that?
Is this a known bug in recent versions of VDJ8?
