Topic: Microphone works, but listeners can't hear anything.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi all,

Wonder if anyone can answer this one for me (might be stupidly simple.) I've got a Rode Procaster, XLR, plugged into a Behringer Q802 USB Mixer. The mic works fine, but nobody can hear me speak.

Tried all the settings, nothing works. Am I missing something (like a line in cable to the computer, 3.5mm to 1.5) from the external mixer? Or is the mic not compatible with VDJ at all? Trying to find a workaround if possible. Any advice?

Thanks

if you are broadcasting then you need to set a mic in for it in VDJ

In the settings? I've tried everything there, and nothing wants to know.

So the mic plugs into the Behringer - but then what? How are you using the Behringer with VDJ? How is it connected?

What's your VDJ audio config? How are you cueing?

This is why I think I need an extra cable - it's plugged into the mixer, but nothing else.

If I just need a cable, then it's an easy fix.

I changed from the Rode Podcaster, the USB version. So I haven't changed the settings much. Mic i've only fiddled around with.

Can't see it ..............

do just the audio config window so we can read it

no its not better but nice try

Can you perhaps download Gyazo and take a screen grab closer in? And then put the link here? Without being able to see the screen grabs on here, it is hard to help. :)
