hi, i got rane twelve mk2 connected to PC via usb (no mixer or audio interface_
right now to spin through 1 sec Ahh sample I need to do a whole 360deg spin. i think the sensitivity is way off. how do I configure that? so far googling and fiddling with options did not help.

to expand on some of what i've tried so far:
* changing jogwheelsensitivity did nothing
* controller setting for rane 12 has jog setting which is set to var_equal 'RN12MK2_USB' 1 ? ns7_platter
playing with it mostly broke functionality and did not solve the problem.
I've tried recording a midi log to see if i'm missing something out but the log is not plain text so it did not help..

Depending on how much you rounded the time of the sample, that could be correct.
If it's set at 33rpm, one revolution should be 1.8 seconds, if it's set at 45rpm, one revolution should be 1.3 seconds

I set 1 rotation for 4 beats. On the ns73 it doesn’t do it neither does the platter change speed but the Rane 12 is much more variable.
Yes the speed of the plater has the control, but you can set to how it’s mapped to the deck. You can have it 33 or 45 as the default. So if you go from 45 to 33 it will slow, just quickly, I haven’t used my Rane due to setting up my studio. I may be totaly wrong as my memory is bad but I had same issue and sorted.
So if I am right it’s about the default speed and how much track is moved regarding the rotation
Already it appears that the deck is spinning slow , 1 second per rotation is fast actually I thought it was slow. 45rpm is 45 rotations in 60 seconds so even slower. If you change the bpm of the sample then it will alter the variables you are after so double the bpm and half it, play and see what’s good and then fine tune. I’ll try and setup today and have a butchers.
Even when it’s not possible, like the ns73 is not as dynamic as Rane 12, there is either a work around or a way to script it. Everything is possible, if you ask nicely someone may do it for you, they probably think I’m an idiot, but I love this and all the talent behind vdj. I think serato is a joke, no one has ever told me why serato is good. It took ages even to get something playing, vdj is like Mac OS to windows
