I'm upset because everything and all the good features on the Rane 4 controller doesn't work on vdj.1st there is a talk over that I though wood work. Then there is mic setting like optimize& compress to clean things up. Next I had the hard ware like the recycle, scale on, riser, matrix is was there now it's not. it says none and doesn't work. Then the split stems Button. I hit it and go to channel 1& 2 or any other channel and it doesn't have 1 on acapella and the other on instrumental? Everything that in cool and nice only works with Serato? If I known this I wouldn't of got this controller.

For Hardware Effects, you need to apply the default audio Setup as shown here .. https://www.virtualdj.com/img/379683/92451/AudioSetup.png
and of course have speakers connected to the Master Output of the Rane Four.
You said "it says none" .. where do you see that message ?
Have you selected the Hardware FX mode ?
https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/rane/four/layout/mixer.html#effects
What exactly happens when you Split the Stems ?
Also setting stemsSplitLeftRight (from OPTIONS) should be set to No
Do Stems work on each Deck , e.g. Instrumental and Acapella buttons ?

Also as a reminder:
The MIC section in Rane Four is completely hardware operated.
So, it doesn't matter the software you're using. If you can't get the "TALKOVER" to work, then it's either a faulty console, or you doing something wrong. It's definately not VirtualDJ ore Serato, or even analog audio inputs.
More or less, same rule applies with Effects, as along as you have the unit switched to hardware effects.
Hardware effects like Riser and Matrix work independently of software.
The only requirement when you run software is to set the unit to use the hardware effects.
This is done by pressing button 30 (https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/rane/four/layout/mixer.html#effects) and making sure the color of the led is blue (hardware mode)
Finally, if you enter the Rane Four on board menu, there's an option to do a factory reset of the unit.
I would do that as well if I were you, just in case something is stuck on the device firmware.
PS: Also make sure you're running latest firmware. Not that it matters for the issues you have mentioned here, but it's best practice to always keep the firmware updated.
