I have made a few "special files" myself over the years that I use when there's a specific need.
Just make a silent audio file (mp3) and then tag it as you like. You can even add a special cover.
I don't think there's a need to create "special separators" inside an application for this kind of usage.
Plus, for me at least, it's easier to just search 'redsep' on VirtualDJ that will bring up the "Red Separator" file and drag it into place, than having to deal with right clicking and menus to insert a "separator"
PS: One one special Virtual folder I have also done this with Virtual Subfolders :P
