It's more than enough for video mixing at home and as well works fine live. I do it often on mine, I am a regular video mixer and KJ. It holds it's own...

thanks for the info Rude that's nice to know

I would be careful with a Intel card like this for video mixing.

VDJ recommend ATI™ or NVIDIA® video card w/256MB of Dedicated DDR3 RAM

The intel cards normaly use only shared videoram and in most cases this let the vids lag.

I purchased two labtops that came with and Intel Graphics card and an AMD graphics card with dedicated memory. When I go to choose the video card in Virtual DJ it only shows the Intel card. Is there a way for Virtual to show the AMD because the Intel card doesn't work. When I choose the Intel card my screen goes black. Any suggestions because I mix with videos and I need to get another labtop. Thanks Monte'

I just bought a new laptop:

17.3 1920x1080
Core I7
16 GB RAM 1600MHZ
120 GB Solid state drive (for programs)
750GB Data drive (For Data)
Built in Intel 4000 graphics chip
Nvidia 675M GB GDDR5 video card
Blu-Ray burner
etc.

I had problems with trying to play muisc videos using the Intel 4000 graphics chip.... Videos would keep freezing.
Intel graphics works fine for other programs, but not with VDJ
Computer bios has no option to disable onboard graphics chip.
I had to go to NVIDIA control panel and tell it to use the NVIDIA graphics card whenever I use VDJ...

You're better off getting the base 15 inch model which has 512mb nvidia graphics. Intel hd 4000 may be good but it's still integrated gpu and will have problems. I have last year's mbp 15 intel hd 3000 + amd graphics 512mb. When using intel 3000 gpu video start lagging after 3-4 vids.
