It might be nice to have an option to buy more than just 10, if it reduces the price per video.

perhaps is another way to contribute to Atomix's development.
It doesn't contribute (unless you don't use the credits) because $2/video is more or less our costs anyway, we don't any profits on this.

@Stephane thank you for that info.

Given the situation with operating costs, is the 4 credits/month a promo thing (with purchasing credits being the way to get them) or is that going to be a thing going forward for the near future?

We'll see how much it gets (ab)used, but if it stays reasonable, we plan to absorb the cost of the 4 videos per months for now.
(we're still a privately owned company, here to make the DJing world better, not to make capitalist shareholders richer. That's also why we never tried to make Inifinity license holders pay anything for the past 30 years ;)

And that is why I respect and continue to use VirtualDJ.

Whatever you choose, I understand. Thanks again for the hard work and great features 🍺.

@Stephane thanks.
Is there any consistency between ai gen sessions under the users account, so can you modify the previous generated video using the prompt?

You're the man! Thank you and the entire VDJ team that make this the greatest DJ software/DJ Community in the world! Everytime VDJ downloads a new update it feels like xmas as a 8 year old!

Dear @Stephane I dont know if you remember me, we met in Milano during a Fashion Week some years ago...your vision and passion haven't changed! Keep it up...

PS I have a gig in less than two weeks time and I do really hope Fluid Beatgrid will be finally available...can't wait!

You should try again with the latest Early Access build.

Thanks Stephane, but I prefer to wait for the official release ✌🏾

@Stephane you might want to note that all the "variable" settings have been changed to "fluid" settings. I'll play around with the downbeat sensitivity as well too (see how a track with changing measures would affect it).

Quick things I noticed:

Tfluid analysis seems to be triggered on new analysis, but it seems to happen:

  1. Sometimes
I would have expected that doing the analysis from the context menu would always trigger it, but I tried it for a previously analyzed song (Queen - Don't Stop Me Now), and it didn't get triggered automatically
  2. After the stable BPM analysis (instead of in parallel)
  3. Sometimes takes a while to complete (15-35 seconds depending on my M1 MacBook Pro)

Some difficulties with the Fluid BPM Editor:

  • It is sometimes almost impossible to drag anchors in the fluid BPM display
I experience a drastic change in the BPM instead of actually dragging the anchor itself
  • Deletion of anchors sometimes still leaves the BPM zone/section it introduced
I have to drag the previous zone to clear it

Also, (as an example song where there is unexpected behaviour) the named song Queen - Don't Stop Me Now, also has a section where the algorithm is calculating the BPM to be too fast in the zone (where Freddie basically starts singing into the verse from the second (don't stop me...'cause I'm having a good time, having a good time...) - the algorithm seems to assume the start of the faster part of the track from there (which is wrong, and especially as there are hi-hats carrying the BPM). Decreasing the fluidBPMSensitivity from 30 made no real difference to it either.

Just a thought - if possible, it would be nice to be able to just rerun the algorithm for a section of the song to see if that helps.

Agreed. IMO the previous system was easier to work with when needing to make adjustments. The new system is just confusing me.

drag changes the BPM, shift+drag changes the phase (so the beat position).
(same as it's always been in the bpm editor for rigid grids)

the best (and expected) way to fix this, is to set a bpm range that is more narrow, and then re-analayze, so the AI will know not to put a fast bpm.

Try holding Shift while dragging so it will change individual beats.
And with rigid songs, hold Shift to adjust phase.

Plus you have multi-level undo now for grid edits, so you can try things without re-analyzing each time (Early access b9209 or later).
