Hello,
I would like to add (in addition to my regular DJ controller) a second controller to easily play the samples, and also play some VST synths along. I was thinking about the M-Audio Oxygen Pro 49 (

Mapping the pads should not be difficult at all.
However, turning on/off leds and generally mapping the whole thing requires a definition file. This means that while it's not difficult to do, you need to have some patience and basic knowledge of how MIDI works.
Then you should be able to but it completely.
If you go that route and you need any help, feel free to ask here on the forums.

Thanks! I thought about starting with some other definition file and modify that one.

For what you're after, it's easier to start from a clean sheet, rather than modify an existing definition.
Also it will give you the oportunity to learn and understand how definitions work.
