READ "CDJ STRUCTURE" ON ANY FOLDER
A friend of mine let me copy his thumb drive that he uses to play on CDJs, the problem is that I cant acess the playlist. So my sugestion is that VDJ is able "read" a folder just like a drive formated to be a "CDJ EXPORT"

"Relative Key Difference" or "Key Delta" for Directional Color Coding
Key Difference is super helpful, but it's Absolute. I’d love a “Relative Key Difference” mode that shows whether a track’s key is higher or lower than the currently playing one. Instead of just seeing how many steps away the key is (e.g., 0, 1, 2), we’d see +1 or –1, +2 or –2, etc. T

Hello VirtualDJ Team,
I appreciate the recent shift from “Crates” to the new “Lists” system, but I believe the feature could be even more powerful with improved organization. Specifically, it would be incredibly helpful to have nested lists—lists within lists—so that playlists can be grouped hierarchically. For example:
Main List: U.S
Sub-list: U.S Rap
Sub-list: U.S Pop
This structure would help users manage large libraries more efficiently and intuitively.
Thank you for considering this enhancement—I’d love to see this added in a future update

You can see in now, you could could for quite some time
nesting lists, if list dragged slightly right the tooltip will say
"change order"
that keeps the tree hierarchy but shuffles order.
but if you drag around more to the left the tooltip will say
"move list"
and that lets you nest lists in lists in lists...

ADD LIST SUBFOLDERS _AFTER_ THE LAST SUBFOLDER
when planning lists for a gig, you usually think in chronological order, e.g. Ceremony, Cocktail, Dinner, Floor etc.
the way it currently works, when you add a list subfolder it is added to the top of the subfolder list. it should be added to the bottom of the list.

Is there some way to make the Browser text to center in all the columns (Artist, Title, Bpm etc..)
I have tried some tweaking with browserTextFit without any luck.
Now my colums attach more than separates with each other when the text starts from the left side, example Bpm on the left and Key after on the right, they like stick together as one text.

This is hardcoded. The easiest fix is to swap the key and bpm fields

I have tried all kind of order of the columns and havent got any real good selection that I want, thats why I am asking for this.
Other colums glues together to..

Thanks anyway :(

I was wondering if it would be possible to add the option to move within the browser area.
I hope that makes sense.
One thing I don't like is having to delete columns because the information I want doesn't fit, for example, when I activate the sideview panel.
Currently, we can adjust the size of each column, but we can only have a few before the data starts to get cut off when the area becomes too small, making the information unreadable.
I don't like to say “just like Serato” or “Rekordbox, Traktor, etc.”, but it's something that can be done in other DJ programs, and I think it's an important detail that could also be implemented here.
The possibility to scroll left or right to view other data columns, each with its own size, without losing any data.

Hello everyone. I would appreciate it if "GetRemixWhenParsingFilenames" could be configured to use either only "(" and ")" or only "[" and "]", or both.
The program also seems to currently parse the artist. For a band like for e.g. "Obsc[y]re," this causes "y" to appear in the remix field.
I know I can write the band names and titles without these brackets, but then I'd miss the nice look in the automatically created playlist.
So, perhaps these options can be added later.
Greetings to all of you.

Hi Team,
I use a few of the online catalogs with offline cache enabled and was wondering if there is a way to have already cached songs show up with the local results when i search for a song? I usually have to scroll down through 3 pages to find the track i want to add to a list - I've tried using a filter to show "have Played" but doesn't seem to catch online catalog songs all the time.
Is there a setting for this?
Cheers,

@Michael Thomas
Which Catalogs ?
And why "have played" ?
If you want the Cached Tracks you could show the "File Type" Browser field and sort up/down or use this Quick Filter ..

Would so love the Folder shortcuts (Folder Favorites) to take one to the shortcut-ed folder after finishing Search
(when Search results are in the browser).
Currently the Folder shortcuts do nothing when Search results are visible.
Removing much of the benefit of having a Folder shortcut. Since one has to be always thinking will it work or not, (is browser in search or not).
I still, waste much time, needlessly clicking the LOVED shortcuts. ONLY then needing to scroll, to find the folder, (if one just completed a search).
I as workaround, have recreated the shortcuts on launchpad as a workaround (using browser_gotofolder) since those do go the desired folder (when in search), as a fall back.
Again, so wish the Browser's Folder shortcuts would do something if one is leaving search, (similar to the browser_gotofolderscript) since if using the mouse, it is much easier to click the browser shortcut then to switch to the using the launchpad.

Hi Dev Team,
I would like to make a strong request for a feature that is becoming increasingly necessary: a fully detachable and resizable Browser window.
Every day, more and more DJs are using dual-screen setups (or external monitors) for our gigs. Having the ability to "pop out" the browser into a floating window would be a massive differentiator for VirtualDJ.
Here is why this is crucial:
Freedom of Customization: We could move the browser to a second screen and resize it to fit any resolution, giving us a huge library view while keeping the main screen clean for mixing.
Clarity: It allows us to see everything with much more space and detail, which is critical during live performances.
Taking it a step further, Detachable Waveforms would also be an incredible addition.
The Competitive Edge: If VirtualDJ implements a fully modular/detachable interface (Browser + Waveforms), it would offer the perfect customization that no other major DJ software currently has. It would truly set VDJ apart as the most flexible software on the market.
Hope you consider this for future builds!

I was going to reply and say that's already possible, and has been even in older versions of VDJ going back decades - thinking that maybe you were a new user. You've been here ten years!
Check the wiki - there's a page about creating a separate browser window. Also some skins have it built in.
