everything else drags over to teh extendable screen but vdj? wont move.
on windows its easy, windows key, shift and right or left arrow, but that doesnt work on a mac using command key shift and right/left arrows.

Drag and drop to an extended screen on MacOS works fine on my end.
The command you described is 1) not a MacOS level window management command 2) not even a drag and drop attempt.
I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve or if you have described your problem correctly, but to do what you are asking, one typically opens Mission Control (three finger swipe up or Control + Up) and then drags the Window for the application of concern to the correct virtual desktop on the correct screen.
